Red Light Treatment
Red light is anti-inflammatory, it accelerates cell renewal and repair and stimulates fibroblasts to form collagen and elastin for smoother, firmer skin. It is clinically proven to increase the body’s natural form of cellular energy (ATP) which kickstarts cells to regenerate faster.
Near Infrared Treatment
Near infrared light has even more photobiostimulatory effects and stimulates collagen formation and healing effects. Deep tissue penetration of light stimulates a photochemical reaction within cells that has a systematic effect on cells throughout the body. The process increases blood flow and oxygenation, essentially boosting energy production, cell regeneration, and the overall health of the body.
Blue Light Treatment
Blue light is mainly used to treat inflammatory acne vulgaris as it interacts with p.acne bacteria to produce a photodynamic reaction that destroys the bacteria. There is evidence that it can help to reduce pore size and balance sebum production without damaging the sebaceous gland. These outcomes are enhanced when used in combination with red and near infrared light.

Treatment Process
Any makeup, sunscreen and contact lenses will need to be removed before treatment can begin. You will be provided with safety glasses that must be worn at all times during the treatment session. The treatment will take between 10 – 20mins to complete. Once completed you can return to normal activities immediately.
Results
While one treatment of Xen phototherapy can instantly energise the skin cells to revitalise complexion, the results are more cumulative than immediate. A regular course of treatments offers a cumulative effect and long-lasting benefits. Visible results should occur within 4 to 8 weeks.
Reasons we may not be able to perform the treatment
Your medical history and cosmetic history will determine whether this a suitable treatment option.
This treatment is not recommended for patients’ with porphyria, solar urticarial, autoimmune diseases and diseases stimulated by light such as lupus and epilepsy, photo-sensitivity or on medication or creams that create photo-sensitivity such as Accutane, tetracyclines, tretinoin or those who are pregnant.
